Mayor Terry Mooney After almost 30 years of public service to the City of Vincennes, I felt that the city needed new, positive leadership. I ran for mayor in order to provide this leadership. In 1997 I was in a SCUBA diving accident where I was electrocuted and nearly died as I lay there unconscious and sure that I was going to die, I remember pledging that if I were to make it through this I would commit myself to being a better person. I truly feel that every day I am able to wake up and get out of bed is a blessing not to be taken for granted. This is the sentiment that I carry with me everyday - it is a part of who I am. I try to reflect this in every decision that I make. THE KILLING HAS STARTED - 6 KILLED TODAY - 6 MORE KILLED TOMORROW - HELP THE DOGS IN VINCENNES INDIANA!!!! after getting out almost 30 dogs this weekend alone, 20 more have come in since saturday..as a result 6 medium size dogs were KILLED today and 6 large dogs WILL BE KILLED tomorrow... nice way to say happy holidays..I AM SO FIRED UP RIGHT NOW, I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! AFTER ALL WE HAVE DONE - BARB, THE RESCUES, THE TRANSPORT DRIVERS...AND ME INCLUDED - they still died because they have been in shelter 45 days, it's not right or moral, when there is space for them at the shelter- I REPEAT THE SHELTER IS NOT!!!!!!!!! !! CROWDED!!!! ..i don't know what else can be done either. black labs or hounds or pits - they don't stand a chance.. I am in tears and I am sooooo mad!!! All the faces listed below, becoming AND now just a statistic b/c of 45 days and one dog per cage... it makes me ashamed to be human. call the shelter and complain! call the mayor and complain! they are killing dogs b/c there "should be" only ONE DOG PER PEN!!! this shelter has housed more than 80-100 dogs at any given time AND WE HAVE GOTTEN THEM OUT!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! DO NOT TOLERATE IT! IT'S TIME TO LET THEM KNOW HOW WE FEEL! WE HAVE GONE ALMOST A YEAR, ALMOST A YEAR WITHOUT EUTHANIZING ADOPTABLE DOGS AND NOW,AT XMAS WHEN WE HAVE NO HELP, THEY ARE KILLING INNOCENT ANIMALS WE KNOW WE COULD GET OUT IF THEY WOULD HAVE GIVEN US MORE TIME!! PLEASE HELP ME FIGHT BACK!! FOR THE ANIMALS! YOU KNOW HOW HARD WE WORK TO GET THESE GUYS OUT!! THEY DESERVE MORE THAN THIS!!!!!!!! AND ALL OVER POLITICS AND PEOPLE WANTING TO THROW THEIR WEIGHT AROUND!!! I AM NOT GOING TO STAND FOR ANY MORE OF IT!! PLEASE JOIN ME!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
