Franklin County Update 12-11-06

A better update than the last, but there is one guy left from the last update and he needs out now!

Hello Everyone

Due to some schedule changes we went out there today to get pictures of the newbies and get an update for you. Not sure when the vet is coming but, we will be going again on Thursday. We are happy to report that some were rescued last week (THANK YOU!!!). The big ol kitty was adopted this morning!! YEAH!!

There are some really cute new faces full of personality to share with you today.

There are two 6 week old puppies (not pictured) that just came in and are hound mixes. For information on them call Kathy directly at 919-496-3032.

The two pups in K-2 are about 8 weeks old and very friendly. The sweet girl in K-3 is either pregnant or was pregnant and smiles at you when you talk to her. K-9 is a golden (maybe PB) and is a sweet boy. The senior fellow in K-11 is friendly and looks to have cataracts in both eyes but can still see. The big cat is still there as well as the black lab mix in K-5.

As you know there are always good dogs/cats and we would love to see them all get out . We appreciate all the help you guys provide these guys and to us. It is wonderful to hear when someone is working on a particular dog so we can focus our efforts on the ones that are not getting any attention.

Have a great day!!!!!

If you see an animal that you have questions about please call Animal Control directly at 919-496-3032. They will be able to provide you with any information you will need faster than we can. We have added the direct link to Petfinder to help with any cross postings. We would hate to loose a dog/cat due to us not being able to get an answer back to someone fast enough.

Direct Link to Petfinder site is    http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/NC119.html

This is an animal control facility not a shelter.  Owner surrenders can be euthanized on the spot, while strays are required to be kept for 3 days and then can be euthanized.  pts next to a picture means Put To Sleep.  They just really do not stand a chance.  The vet usually comes out once a week, sometimes twice if they get too full.
